Bow

Nickel mounted viola bow with a round Pernambuco wood stick. The frog is made of ebony, and nickel is used overall for the ferrule, underslide, small heel plate, heel plate and button. The slide, the eye and the button eye are made from mother-of-pearl. Silver thread wrapping and a black thumb leather protect the octagonal handle. The face of the tip is made from bone. Corsby (faded) is branded onto the handle and on the frog. The head is repaired. The button is not original to the frog, possibly later from Germany (c.1890).
