Bow

Silver mounted violin bow with an octagonal Pernambuco wood stick. The frog is made of tortoiseshell. Silver is used overall for the ferrule, underslide, short corner heel plate, three-part button, face and ring around the eye on frog.The slide and the eye are made of mother-of-pearl. Silver wire wrapping, a black thumb leather and a black leather strip above the frog protect the octagonal handle. '...?' is branded on the handle above the frog. Left to the Royal Academy of Music by Mrs C.M.M. Tweedie.
