Bow

Silver mounted violin bow with a round Pernambuco wood stick. The ebony frog has a mother-of-pearl slide and eye. Silver is used for the ferrule, heelplate, curved underslide and three-piece button. The face protecting the tip is made of bone. A silver wire wrapping and black thumb leather protect the octagonal handle. A pair of flats allows the frog to slide on a curved section of the otherwise octagonal handle. 'J THIBOUVILLE-LY' is stamped onto the handle above the frog.
