Bow

Cello bow with a round Pernambuco wood stick. The frog and button are not original to the stick. The ebony frog has a mother-of-pearl slide and eye, which is embellished with a nickel ring. Nickel is also used for the ferrule, heelplate, underslide and the three-piece button on ebony. A bone face protects the bow tip. Silver wire wrapping and black thumb leather protect the octagonal handle. A 60 mm repair in the upper third of the stick has been covered with wound thread. 'DODD' is stamped onto the handle above the frog. 'Germany' is stamped on the right upper side of the frog.
