Metal: Much surface dirt covers the trumpet. There is active and old copper corrosion present, specifically in the trumpet bell and under the textile decoration. Leather: The leather strap has split in two. The surface is fragmented and has much surface dirt. There are many holes punched in pairs along the strap but no sign of a buckle. The surface has ingrained dirt in some areas. Textile: Much surface and ingrained dirt. Is red, yellow and blue and possibly wool or wool mix. Fading has occurred and there is a fragmented area near the mouthpiece and another at the other end with crude stitching. There are some slight missing areas and on unravelling pest damage is apparent with frass and webbing.
