Oboe
Oboe. Nominal pitch: C. Boxwood, three ivory ferrules (at reed well and sockets), silver keywork. Three joints, onion-shaped baluster. Eight keys, round and flat. Two original keys (fishtail C) mounted in turned rings. Remaining six keys are later additions, variously mounted in saddles and on pillars with short rod-axles. One key (G sharp) is carried on a pivot driven through the ivory mount, with a metal lining inserted. Twin holes for third and fourth holes. Stamped: Cotton Bride Land, Fleet St. (London).
