Crotals

A pair of small bronze crotals or pellet bells, heavily patinated, with incised decoration. Two pebbles are enclosed in each bell. The bells each have integral square handles, through which is threaded twisted vegetable fibre which connects the bells together. The bells bear the inscription "London" which has been crossed out and "British (Camb?)" penciled in.
