Royal Portable Irish Harp by John Egan, dated April 1819. Labelled 'JOHN EGAN, DAWSON STREET, DUBLIN'. 36 strings, longest 850mm. 'Royal portable Irish Harp, John Egan, 30 Dawson Street, Dublin, April 1819. Made from pine and willow, painted dark blue with gold shamrock pattern. Thirty six gut strings with an overall compass of three octaves. Bought January 1941 for £3.' (M. Jessup).
