Transverse flute
Transverse flute. Boxwood, four joints. Ivory ferrules and cap. One brass key. Cylindrical bore. Six finger holes and one key-covered hole. Key is block mounted and has a flat square flap. Embouchure hole is oval shaped and has no lip plate. Tenons are string-lapped and sockets are cork-lined. Upper joint, lower joint and foot joint are stamped: Beckett.; Head joint is stamped: Beckett./FROM/Wood & Ivy/LONDON.
