Trough zither; chipango
Chipango, trough zither.The wooden trough-shaped string bearer is etched with a zig-zag pattern and the handle terminates in a carved representation of a human head. A round gourd resonator is fixed to the base of the trough. A single length of plastic string passes through the ten holes bored on each side of the trough.
