Bagpipe

Cabrette (cornemuse), bagpipe. Boxwood chanter and stocks with ivory ferrules. The chanter has seven fingerholes, one thumbhole and two vent holes. It has a string-lapped tenon. The blowpipe and drone are missing. Purple velvet bag with leather lining. The drone socket is stamped: SOCHAY/A. LYON. The chanter has a carved inscription 'PEUCH/AURILLAC', now paritally obscured by a label.
