Transverse flute
Transverse flute. Nominal pitch: G. Boxwood. Four joints. Head joint doubles back on itself to accommodate extra length. Four ivory ferrules and two ivory end caps. Block mounts for four keys, all of which are missing, as are two end pivoted touchpieces. Tenons lapped with white string. Upper joint, lower joint and foot joint are stamped: WIGLEY/&/McGREGOR/../PATENTEES.
