Oboe. Nominal pitch: C. Stained boxwood with brass keywork. Three joints. Two keys with circular flat flaps and leather pads. Keys held in turned away block mounts. Lowest key, fishtail. Upper and lower joints each have three tone holes, the third on the upper joint a double hole. String lapped tenons. Bell has two vent holes. Stamped inscription on upper and lower joints: PINCHBACK/ATHERSTONE
