Transverse flute
Transverse flute. African blackwood (grenadilla). Five joints. Silver ferrules and end cap. Eight silver keys, block mounted with square flaps and leather pads, C and C-sharp keys with pewter plugs. Six tone holes. String lapped tenons. Brass tuning slide connecting head joint. Upper, lower and foot joint each stamped: KEY/LONDON; with a unicorn's head emblem directly beneath.
