Oboe. Boxwood with silver keywork. Three joints; upper joint has combined 'baluster' top. The two keys have circular flat flaps with leather pads and are held within two block mounts (one rounded and one square). Each joint is stamped: ROBERT/COTTON/LONDON; Paper label attached to upper joint has written in D.J. Blaikley's hand: 66 OBOE/BOXWOOD-2/FLAT SILVER KEYS/ABOUT 1800
