Transverse flute. Ebony body. Three joints. Silver plated keys and ferrules (some hallmarked). Eight keys, block mounted with circular flat flaps and leather pads. One key with duplicate/alternative touch piece. Cork lapped tenons. Head joint and foot joint stamped: MONZANI & Co; Body joint stamped: MONZANI & Co./28. REGENT STt./PICADILLY/LONDON/243; Body joint and foot joint stamped: PATENT; Crown emblem appears on shanks/flaps of all keys and above inscriptions on all joints.
