Oboe

Oboe, incomplete. Boxwood body with nickel silver keywork and one ivory ferrule. Two keys, block mounted, with octagonal flat flaps and leather pads. Block mounts are full, one rounded and one square in profile. Onion and cotton reel top. Upper joint absent. Lower joint has three tone holes, the first, a double hole. There is a lip on the interior of the bell to help hold the mute in place. Two vent holes in bell. Both joints are stamped: CAHUSAC/LONDON
