Transverse flute
Transverse flute. Nominal pitch: F. Boxwood body. Four joints. Ivory ferrules and end cap. Four silver keys, block mounted with pewter plugs. Mounts are both turned away and full (round in profile) with brass supports where the key shank lies. Head joint stamped: PATENT; and: GOULDING/D'ALMAINE/POTTER & Co./SOHO-SQUARE/LONDON; with a crest emblem above the latter. Upper joint, lower joint and foot joint stamped: GOULDING & Co.
