Surdo
Surdo, double membrane cylindrical drum, 20 inch model. Aluminium shell with steel counterhoops and ten tension rods. The maker's name 'CONTEMPORÂNEA' is printed in black within a red frame, on a label on the side of the drum and on the goatskin batter head. 'MONOBLOCO/RIO DE JANEIRO - BRASIL' encircles the logo of the band Monobloco, in blue on the batter head. The lower head is of plastic. The drum is played with a single stick.
