English system concertina. Amboyna ends with pine backing behind fretwork, 6.25in/159mm across parallel sides. 44 ivory buttons, black accidentals, stamped with note names, bushed. Square-end nickel reeds. Four-fold green leather bellows with gold circle papers. Green leather straps (fitted later by Wheatstone & Co.), with nickel screws. Later oval paper label: C. Wheatstone & Co. Inventors, Patentees and Manufacturers, London; Serial number 563.
