Harmoniflute
Harmoniflute, lap organ, regal harmonium. Piano keyboard with 39 keys, 23 white ivory and 16 black. Ivory coupler button mid-way along front above keyboard, on brass lever to control extra banks of reeds. Body of satinwood bound with ebony and stained wood. Four-fold leather cloth bellows with brass mounts, which inflate an inner wind chest. Top has fretwork at centre, and is embossed on left: Salomon F Marks, Fabricant d'Instruments de Musique. Harmonuim: Flute-Harmonium pliant; Harmoniflute Celestina: Accordeon et Trembleur: Paris, Medailles d'or et d'argent; Embossed on right: Napoleon III, Empereur; with a profile of Napoleon. No serial number.
