Flageolet
English flageolet. Cocuswood with German silver keys and ferrules and an ivory mouthpiece. Three joints: head joint incorporating mouthpiece, barrel with duct window and body joint. Tenons are string-lapped. Bore is conical, tapering inwards towards the bottom. Six open finger holes and six keys. Two keys engage the same hole, the F between the bottom two finger holes. This allows the key to be operated by either hand. Keys are pillar mounted with round, shallow cupped flaps and leather pads.
