Melodeon, diatonic button accordion. 11.75in/298 x 6.5in/165mm white painted wood ends with multicoloured plastic sides. Right-hand with 10 pearl-tipped keys, ornate levers and brass pallets. White hand frames, 4 white wood reed bank knobs, 1 tremolo knob. Left-hand with 2 spoon basses and 1 spoon air valve. Brass reeds. Right-hand leather thumb straps. Left-hand fabric hand strap. 11-fold bellows of white leather cloth with blue and gold papers and brass-mounted corners: alternating 3 thin folds, 1 thick. Pallet board stamped: 'Ludwig Pine Tree Brand Accordeon'. Bellows stamped: 'The Winner Pine Tree Brand Accordeon Steel Bronze Reeds Tremolo'. Metal corners and bellows clip stamped: 'Gebr. Ludwig Accordeon Registered Trade Mark' [tree] 'made in Germany'. No serial number.
