Fiddle
Fiddle, local name 'ikatarki'. The body made of a oil can. The neck is a stick of wood with incised decoration. Single wire string. The triangular bow (Horniman Museum number: M21a-1991) consists of a forked stick with white hair (probably cow's hair) stretched between each end. The hairs are braced by the pressure of the thumb, or by tying one end round the index finger. The bowing technique is a circular motion.
