Piano-system concertina. Flat stained mahogany ends, 6.69in/170mm across parallel sides, bevelled and with simple frets. 35 broad domed buttons, bushed, with red Cs and black accidentals. Left hand: 9 'white', 6 'black' and 1 drone; Right hand: 11 'white' (one missing), 7 'black' and 1 drone. Round-end steel reeds, rectilinear reed pan. Six-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers. Black leather straps, gilt embossed: JJ Vickers, Concertina Factory and Repairer, 80-82 Royal Hill, Greenwich, London, SE 10; No label. Jones stamp on right hand bar. Serial number 27186.
