English-system concertina. Flat rosewood ends, 6.19in/157mm across parallel sides, bevelled and with floral frets with white leather backing. 48 flat nickel buttons: 24 each side, bushed. Round-end steel reeds. Five-fold green leather bellows, green/gold arabesque papers. Later leather straps. One nickel screw (right-hand). Scalloped oval paper label: Patent concertina by George Case, Boosey & Co., Regent Street, London; Serial number: 3952 (side stamp).
