English-system concertina. Flat rosewood ends, 6.12in/155mm across parallel sides, with bevelled edges and simple frets. 48 bone buttons: 24 each side, black accidentals, stamped. Round-end steel reeds. Five-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers. Left-hand strap later, right-hand strap and metal absent. Labelled in pencil 445 (ends), 467 (pans), 447 (bellows). On left-hand a small label: Steel Reeds; Oval paper label: Barnett Samuel and Sons, Trade Mark Dulcet, 32 Worship St, London
