Half-tube zither

Two-stringed idiochord half tube zither. The string bearer is half a length of bamboo, from which two lengths of the wall have been cut to form strings that are still attached to the body at the short ends. Small bamboo bridges have been slipped under the strings. Two bands of plaited split cane are tied around the bamboo to reinforce the ends of the strings. The bamboo is incised all over with zig-zag patterns.
