English-system concertina. Flat wood ends with simple fretwork and bevelled edges. 48 buttons: 24 each side, ivory with black accidentals, stamped and bushed. Round-end brass reeds. Five-fold green leather bellows with gold star papers. Green leather straps with brass screws. Circular pan label has had Lachenal name and address removed. Oval paper label: ‘Silber and Fleming, Manufacturers, 50 Wood St, London E’. Serial number: 23414.
