Clarinet
'Trompet' or 'terompet' (Indonesian and Javanese). Toy horn-shaped single reed instrument. A rectangular piece of cream coloured card, with a landscape image either painted or printed on the inside surface has been rolled into a cone, held together with red paper tape, and trimmed to straighten the tip and rim. A bamboo or cane tube has been inserted into the top. This has been cut to an oblique angle at the proximal end. A slit has been cut into the lower edge of the rim and a piece of paper, black on top and white beneath, inserted. This covers the oblique opening to form a beating reed.
