Melodeon, diatonic button accordion. Rectangular black wood ends, 4.5x9.25in/229x235mm, with silver embossed pallet board. Right-hand: 10 one-piece buttons and pallets in chromed metal, left-hand: 2 bass, 1 air, with 2 dummy stops. Eight-fold metal-edged bellows: 2 thin, 1 thick, 2 thin, 1 thick, 2 thin. Felt and leather cloth straps. Ornate tinplate plaque: 'Campbell's Happehomes Gladden the Globe. Campbell & Comy, 116 Trongate, Glasgow, Estd. 1840.' Also: 'The Gem Gold Medal Melodeon.' No serial number.
