Concertina
Anglo-German system concertina. Flat painted wood ends, 7.06in/179mm across parallel sides, on red-painted frames. Drilled fret holes, muslin backed. 21 bone-tipped wood buttons, glued to levers: 10 each side + 1 air (air button absent). Reeds riveted to single reed plates. 8-fold black leather cloth bellows with gold spot and star papers; floral embossed papers on frames, with band of fancy paper trim. Straps missing. Pressed tin plate label on left-hand bellows frame: 'Campbell & Co. 116 Trongate, Glasgow, Estd. 1840', with adjacent circular area: 'Campbell's Happe-Homes Gladden the Globe,' and 'The Favourite Gold Medal Melodeon'. No serial number.
