Harmonium. Piano keyboard with ivory-faced naturals and ebony accidentals. Five register buttons marked: 'Crescendo', 'Tremolo', 'Harmonia Brevete SGDG’, 'Celeste C' and' Forte Fixe F.' Rectangular brass reed beds screwed to action, with double riveted brass tongues. Leather-edged bellows with black-embossed papers. Both front and back panels drop down to reveal the registers and the reed chambers. On tripod stand with foot pedal and lever to operate bellows. Front ormolu plaque: 'Debain a Paris'. Base is stamped: 'Debain, Place Lafayette, Paris 521'. Serial number: 521.
