Accordeon. Rosewood veneer ends, 12.5x4.75in/318x121mm, purfled and with green/orange/red marquetry, also on frame. Right-hand has 19 square pearl keys (10 outer row, 9 inner) with 19 round pearl pallets. Left-hand has decorative brass spoon air valve, two articulated bass keys and four brass feet on hand frame. Single rivet steel reeds in brass frames, pan labelled with Horne stamp; re-reeded by Horne. 6-fold leather-edged bellows with gold and purple papers. Gold/black end transfers: 'Edgar Horne, late J Gregory, Maker, Nottingham' and 'Steel Reeds'. Inside pan stamp: 'Edgar Horne, Accordeon Maker, Nottingham'. Gold/black label: 'Steel Reeds.' Handwritten in red: 'C Steel'. No serial number.
