Melodeon. Walnut veneer ends, 10.25x5.88in/260x149mm, purfled and inlaid with marquetry. Right-hand has 2 rows of chamfered square bone keys and pallets: 10 outer, 9 inner, the pallets exposed. Left-hand has four pearl-tipped bass buttons, plus wooden bass lever. Left-hand end has 4 domed brass feet. 16-fold wire-edged bellows with pale papers. Later thumb and hand straps. Under glazed and inset panel on right-hand end frame: 'Premiata Fabbrica di Armonici, Pancotti Antonio e Figilio, Macerate, Marca di Fabrica, Marche Italia', with fancy lyres and gold medals. No serial number.
