Duct flute
Duct flute of bamboo. The proximal end has a mouthpiece with a chamfered upper rim and an almost square mouth or window beneath. A node at the distal end has been partially opened with a central hole. There are five round fingerholes on the top surface. The body of the instrument is decorated with six lateral incised bands. This is one of a pair of flutes that are intended to be played simultaneously by a single player, the other is Museum number 6.12.65/224a.
