Qin made by Min Rujue

The top surface of the qin is made of platane wood and the bottom surface is made of ovate catalpa wood. The cap corner (guanjue), bridge (yueshan) and dew-receptor (chenglu) are all made of padauk wood, and are not painted. There are no tuning pegs, peg protectors or goose feet. The inlays are made of mother-of-pearl. There are no cracks (duanwen) on the surfaces of the qin, which are painted with black lacquer. The rectangular sound retainers are shallow.
