Bow
Violin bow. Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of ?pernambuco; cross-section round, octagonal for 170mm at frog end. Head: facing: plain, elongated almond shape; trapezoid wedge in the middle part of the facing; plane: parallelogram with inner and outer edge tapered semi-round; boot-type tip (thickened), slightly raised. Frog: made of ivory; parallelogram plane but with slope towards the rear part of the frog (still maintaining the plane); typical Dodd-type outer corner with one groove emphasising the hair insertion; c-undercutting in inner part of the frog; cross-section: narrowed in the middle; button made of ivory (replacement) with round tip; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
