Rosewood; silver mounts and keywork on pillars, employing rod-axles and needle springs. Ward's own system: the mouth hole nearly square: tuning by movable stopper and dial plate with numbers corresponding to those on the tuning slide. Foot keys operated by LTh through traction rods; body and foot integral. This model was patented in 1842.
