Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism. Stick: made of Brazil wood, very red, almost burgundy; cross-section round, octagonal for c.170mm at frog end (from silk/cotton thread wiring to end). Head: facing: ivory plate embracing the tip; elongated almond shape; trapezoid wedge 2/3rd from the tip; trapezoid plane. Frog: made of ivory, on almost rectangular with regular c-shape undercutting with the semi round edge; ivory screw cap also has octagonal cross-section; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
