Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of pernambuco; cross-section: mainly round, although it may be octagonal under the binding which continues to the end of the stick; grip made of brown leather either side of wire-winding made of plastic in chevron pattern (dark & light brown); the end of the stick reinforced with a brass ring. Head: facing: plain wood with a rectangular wedge; elongated almond shape; rhomboid plane. Frog: made of ivory, basically on a parallelogram plane with carvings in Dodd style; c-shape inner undercutting; screw cap made of ox bone; screw of iron; eyelet of brass.
