Bow

Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of ?pernambuco with big knot in the middle; cross-section: round, octagonal for c.110mm at frog end; no wrapping. Head: facing: 1mm strip of ox bone (yellow), embracing the tip as well; wooden trapezoidal plug; elongated almond shape; triangular plane. Frog: made of ivory; rectangular plane; internal contour between hair and stick: c-shape undercut; screw cap made of ivory, diameter 9mm, with a blackened line 2mm from the top; screw made of iron, protrudes 47.8mm; eyelet of brass. The stick is concave towards the thumb side.
