Bow

Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of pernambuco, dark brown; cross section mostly round, octagonal for c. 150mm at frog end; no grip or wire winding. Head: facing covered with unoriginal piece of wood, marks of glue; outside part of the strip is painted white; triangular plane. Frog: made of ivory; on parallelogram plane, the cross-section narrowing towards the middle; c-shape undercut; screw cap made of ivory but with an unoriginal filling (repair) and a brass nail visible; slide made of iron; eyelet of brass.
