Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of ?pernambuco; cross-section: round, octagonal for c. 130mm at frog end. Head: facing: plain; rectangular plug, quite small but very fine work (original hair); elongated almond shape; parallelogram plane, raised tip. Frog: made of ivory, with refined profile with special cut behind hair mounting; c-shape inner undercutting; screw cap is unoriginal and is in the style of a Tourte bow (brass-ebony-brass, the latter now missing, and mother-of-pearl eye in the tip).
