Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of Brazil wood, dark red aubergine; cross-section: round, octagonal for c. 110mm at frog end; no wrapping. Head: facing and hair fixing: partially of another kind of wood (?mahogany) on index finger side (?a repair); elongated almond shape; trapezoidal wedge; trapezoid plane. Frog: made of ?ox bone; round on upper right edge; trapezoid plane with c-shape undercut; screw cap of ox bone, diameter 11.9mm with a flattened top to facilitate adjustments; screw made of iron, length 48.6mm; eyelet of brass. Button in Betts style; stick is slightly concave towards the thumb side.
