Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism. Stick: made of medium brown, ?Brazil wood; cross section, octagonal except where it is worn to almost round in frog area; wrapping at frog of alternate light brown and black winding; padded grip of brown leather. Head: facing: inner ebony and outer ivory strips which also embrace the tip; almond shaped; rectangular wedge; trapezoid plane. Frog: of ebony with mother-of-pearl eyes; almost rectangular plane with c-shape inner undercutting; silver ferrule; mother-of-pearl slide; silver backplate; screw cap of silver-ebony-silver with mother-of-pearl tip; German silver liner; extra leather padding adjacent to stick where the thumb rests.
