Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of dark reddish wood, ?pernambucco; cross section round, octagonal for c. 120mm at frog end; no grip. Head: facing: plain; almond shape, rather elongated, and rather flat (length 36mm, width 9mm); square wedge; triangular plane. Frog: made of ivory; trapezoid plane with characteristic slope toward the screw cap; c-shape undercutting; rear end has trapezoid cross-section; screw cap made of ivory; screw of iron.
