Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of meatwood, dark chocolate brown/burgundy; cross section: mostly round, octagonal for c. 190mm at frog end; no grip. Head: plain facing; square plug wedge; elongated almond; triangular plane. Frog: made of ivory; parallelogram plane with a c-shape undercut; rear edge has an extra undercut; screw cap of ivory, with groove carved to create a button at the tip; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
