Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of exotic wood, dark brown with a hint of red; cross section is round, octagonal for c. 170mm at frog end; no grip. Head: facing: plain; raised tip; square wedge; triangular plane. Frog: made of ivory; parallelogram plane with a simple c-shape undercut and rear corner rounded; screw cap made of ivory with a narrowing towards the tip; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
