Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of exotic wood, brown with a hint of yellow; cross section round, octagonal only in the frog area, visible for c. 120mm beyond binding; alternate dark and light binding, dark leather grip. Head: facing: inner ebony and outer ivory strips covering also the tip; trapezoid plane; trapezoid wedge. Frog: made of ivory; rectangular plane with c-shape undercut on both ends; slightly narrowed toward the middle; screw cap made of ivory with octagonal cross section; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
